The Interchurch Welfare Society

ABOUT

The Op Shop Taupō was established in 1973 (Taupō’s first ever OP Shop!) to provide an additional funding stream for the Taupō community where other funding opportunities were not available.

The Taupō Interchurch Welfare Society is responsible for administering the funds generated from The Op Shop to provide assistance and support to families and individuals in need within the Taupō community.

The OP Shop is primarily staffed by a team of volunteers. The Op Shop relies solely on donations and volunteers to support ongoing funding to those in need. We are always looking for new volunteers and supporters and donsations of good quality used clothing and goods.

Overall, the Taupō Interchurch Welfare Society has been a vital part of the Taupō community for over 50 years, providing much-needed support and assistance to those who are struggling.
